Toni's burning passion and desire to help the body of Christ to understand, know and experience the Father's love, is so strong and anointed that many hearts, including mine, were stirred and impacted.

There was very clear, heartfelt teaching on corporate intercession as a body ministry, with every person present participating.

We were encouraged to praise and worship the Lord with loud voices and shouts of joy; to cry out to the Lord with all of our hearts and not just our minds.

We all had to practise and be exercised in it, if a little shyly and reservedly at first !! We discovered an amazing liberty and breakthrough to touch the heart of God with our prayers. As the day went on, our hearts were so touched and moved that tears, strong prayers and loud praises flowed freely!

Inhibitions were lost and the focus was on the Lord and not on ourselves. It was powerful and real. I could feel the Lord's Presence in a way I have not done before.

There is an experience of breaking through the flesh and the things that bind us and reaching the Father in a tangible way and it brings release and strength.

Sunday morning worship became the icing on the cake. It is life changing.

Tom Lennie tells of his experiences in an article written for his church magazine and copied below:

Intercession  Hi. Last year I read a book by a Rhodesian pastor/missionary named Michael Howard (now based in Malawi), entitled Intercession: Your Power to Possess Nations. It's a mixture of teaching and utterly incredible testimonies from his own deep, personal experiences in prolonged, sacrificial intercession.

I thought, I've got to meet this man, and discovered he was holding a weekend conference in Devon in Nov 2007.

I made the trip down and was thoroughly shocked, challenged and blessed by his dynamic pull-no-punches teaching.

Since then I've read his 3 further biographical books (he's still only in his 50s!), and I heard him teach again a few weeks ago, being greatly stirred once again.

He can be controversial (he tends to view most things as black or white, and can be very politically INcorrect!), but his ministry has deeply impacted me. Quite simply he puts his faith into action in a way I've rarely if ever seen ; having yielded his life so fully to God that he's not at all afraid of dying; yet God has saved him from death's door again and again in the most horrendous of circumstances in many war-torn African countries he has boldly & lovingly ministered in.

He shares scores of accounts of where deep, real sacrificial intercession (sometimes continuously for many months) has had phenomenal results - even altering the lives of nations.

Michael Howard's ministry is largely unrecognised. Few Christians have a clue who he is, and he seeks no publicity/credit for himself; being in that regard one of the most modest men I've ever met. But he does long to see believers truly engage with God regarding local, national and major world issues, and he shows what can take place when just one person truly surrenders his/her life to the living God.

He would be first to acknowledge those praying individuals in many churches who spend secret hours in their prayer closet, and who are the backbone of those churches operations. But he also longs to see intercessory groups starting up throughout the Western world (there's already been extraordinary success in Finland), with like-minded people coming together regularly to worship and beseech the Lord on behalf of the nations.

His teaching is scary stuff, and I'm only slowly beginning to receive it. For me there's a significant fear factor. Quite simply, I care far too much about me and far too scared of radically dying to self.

Michael emphasises the point that a life dedicated to God can only come about by falling into a profound love relationship with Him. The joy that is ours if only we knew how blessed we truly are as sons & daughters of Him, and heirs with Christ in heavenly places. Only His love, he stresses, can transform us and cause us to truly deny ourselves.
